ACM-IAU’s goal is to facilitate a rich and full experience for students while they engage in transformative learning abroad. A large part of this positive life-changing experience is physical and mental health. The Wellness Program is committed to providing support to students should any such issue arise during a student’s experience abroad.

Information on accommodations for students traveling with disabilities can be found on our Accessibility Abroad page.

The Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is located in the Villa Célony, 42 Rue Célony. To access the Wellness Center, you must exit the back door and walk to the other side of the garden. You will find the office right after the pool on the ground floor.

Our dedicated Wellness and Counseling Center is modeled after university counseling centers in the U.S. and is available to students for free on campus. Counseling services are provided in a confidential space, allowing students to talk about any issues or concerns including those related to cultural transition and adjustment.

We can help you with:

  • Integration issues or culture shock
  • Homesickness
  • Stress reduction and personal growth
  • Relationship issues or interpersonal concerns
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Connecting to other resources (medical, academic, etc.)
